Simple. from start to finish

Our mission is to ensure your experience working with Sora Solar is as Simple as possible. Installing solar and other energy efficiency upgrades is a construction process requiring coordination between multiple city and utility jurisdictions. We handle all the heavy lifting.

Solar Installation Process

1 Survey

An on-site assessment is done by one of our professionals who takes photos and gathers site info for a full scope of work.

2 Permit

System is engineered and submitted for building permit. We take care of all
permit and interconnection applications and fees.

3 Installation

With approved permit, we schedule the installation. The installation typically
takes one to two business days to complete.

4 Inspection

Once install is complete, a final inspection is scheduled to ensure all installation and materials used meet local building codes.

5 PTO

After inspection, we request permission to operate from the utility company and we walk you through operating your system.

Smart. clean energy alternative

In a single hour, the amount of power from the sun that strikes the Earth is more than the entire world consumes in a year. By harnessing this power, you can reduce your carbon footprint and help create a cleaner environment.

Reduce Air Pollution

Power companies burn fossil fuels to produce power, causing pollution. Solar panels offset their environmental impact after just two years of service.

Fossil Fuel Reliance

Fossil fuels are a diminishing resource. Conversely, the sun is the most renewable resource available and provides an unlimited alternative to fossil fuels.

Slow Climate Change

Gases produced by burning fossil fuels cause atmospheric warming that contributes to climate change. You can help slow down this process..

Solar Tax Incentives

There is a federal solar tax credit (ITC) for going solar. Most states have state tax credits as well. Ask one of our professionals about specific credits available in your state.

Replace Your Current Bill

Depending on your current electricity usage and power rate, we may be able to design a system that offsets and even replaces your current power bill with clean energy.

Net Metering

Most utility companies have net metering programs where they credit you for energy that is produced by your system that you don’t consume.

Energy. home efficiency

Achieve your goal of whole-home energy efficiency with the right combination of technology and efficiency upgrades. By making your home more energy-efficient, you’ll be more comfortable, save more money, and have the peace of mind that you’re helping the environment.

Insulation

R-Value is a measure of insulation’s ability to resist heat traveling through it. The higher the R-Value the better the thermal performance of the insulation. Our assessor may recommend adding attic insulation if needed.

Roofing

The condition of the roof plays an important role in the energy efficiency of the home. Depending on the age and condition of the roof, our assessor will determine if a re-roof is required as part of the solar project.

Lighting

Light bulbs and fixtures can be roughly 25-30% of your monthly bill. Lighting is a simple way to save on energy consumption. Depending on the type of lighting, our assessor my recommend upgrading to efficient LED bulbs.

Smart Home

Smart home technology helps with monitoring and controlling energy
consumption. Adding smart lighting, smart thermostats, and energy monitoring puts you in control. Ask our assessor about smart home options.

Our Partners Set Us Apart

We proudly partner with the best product manufacturers, installers, subcontractors, and lenders to provide you with the very best home solution available on the market. Here are a few of them.

Never go without power, even when the power grid is down. Solar systems stop converting power when the power grid is down to protect linemen working on down lines. Having a battery backup will keep critical loads energized such as your fridge, heater, and other critical appliances that you need to remain on. Ask one of our advisors about the additional benefits of battery backup.
